MINUTES Tuesday, October 14, 2014 Informational Meeting 4:00 PM at Carnegie Town Hall Sioux Falls City Council 235 West Tenth Street Members Present: Kenny Anderson Jr., Christine M. Erickson, Michelle Erpenbach, Greg Jamison, Dean Karsky, Rick Kiley, Rex Rolfing, and Kermit L. Staggers Members Absent: Mike T. Huether Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; Lorie Hogstad, CMC, City Clerk; Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager; and Rich Oksol, Internal Audit Manager 1. Call To Order Council Chair Dean Karsky called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. City Council Open Discussion Council Member Greg Jamison provided an update on the South Dakota Municipal League conference held last week in Spearfish, SD. Council Member Kenny Anderson Jr. stated he would be attending the Economic Development Meeting with the Municipal League in Oacoma, SD on November 21, 2014. Council Member Christine M. Erickson will also be attending. 3. Presentations A. Basin 13 Cost Recovery by Ryan Johnson, Principal Engineer; and Chad Huwe, City Engineer Ryan Johnson, Principal Engineer provided information regarding the process of the Basin 13 Cost Recovery. Discussion followed. B. Building Permit Processing by Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services; and Ron Bell, Chief Building Services Official Mike Cooper, Director of Planning and Building Services; and Ron Bell, Chief Building Services Official provided an update on the building permit process. Discussion followed. C. Events Center Update by Events Center Team David Pfeifle, City Attorney, provided an update on the metal panel issue. Discussion followed.  Terry Torkildson, SMG General Manager, provided an update on the recent grand opening and other events held at the Events Center. Discussion followed. 4.
