18 A motion was made by Duffy, seconded by Kodanko that the Agenda for the October 10th, 2025 special
19 meeting of the Marina Committee be approved as presented. Motion carried – All ayes.

23 No correspondence was received for this meeting. White asked if anyone would like to make a
24 public comment, and no one responded.

28 a.) Boardwalk & Dredging Project – Bid Evaluation & Award

30 Lienau summarized the bid opening process for the Boardwalk & Dredging Project that
31 occurred at 10:00AM on Friday October 10th, 2025. Lienau noted that the marina received bids
32 from three companies including Summerset Marina Construction, Iron Works Construction,
33 and Pier & Waterfront Solutions to dredge just over 1000 cubic yards of sediment in the marina
34 and to replace the wooden boardwalk with a concrete dock enclosed in a sheet steel wall.
35 Lienau noted that all three bids were significantly over what the marina had budgeted for in its
36 capital improvement plan, which was around $250,000 not including the cost of dredging.
37 Summerset Marine Construction bid for the project at about $463,000, Iron Works Construction
38 bid for the project at about $380,000 and Pier & Waterfront Solutions bid for the project at about
39 $385,000. Lienau and White confirmed that even though the cost for dredging was estimated to
40 be around $45,000 to $50,000 in addition to the $250,000 set aside for the boardwalk, the bids are
41 still nearly $100,000 over what the marina had budgeted for the projects in total. Given this,
42 Lienau recommended that the committee vote to reject all bids and reconvene at the next
43 marina committee meeting to finalize an alternative plan to proceed with the boardwalk project.

45 A motion was made by Duffy, seconded by Kodanko to accept Lienau’s recommendation to reject all
46 proposed bids due to them being significantly over the marina’s budget. Motion carried – All ayes.

8 Adjournment: A motion was made by Kodanko, seconded by Duffy to adjourn the October 10th, 2025
9 special meeting of the Marina Committee at 1:15P.M. Motion carried – All ayes.
