CALL TO ORDER II. FLAG SALUTE III. ROLL CALL Present: 6 - Eisenbeisz, Knox, Bean, Wein, Paxton, and Mosher Telephonic: 1 - Nelson IV. NEW BUSINESS: A 19-202 Municipal Administrator applicant interview - John Leach The Assembly interviewed candidate John Leach from 6:05 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. B 19-203 Discussion / Direction / Decision regarding tonight's interview (possible executive session) Eisenbeisz stated he would be out of town on September 27 and unavailable to call in for Craig Cugini's interview. He wondered if the Assembly would like to go into executive session to hear his thoughts on tonight's interview or wait until a later date. Knox stated he would find value in hearing from Eisenbeisz. Wein spoke in opposition and preferred to wait until after Mr. Cugini's interview and Eisenbeisz's return. C 19-206 Discussion / Direction / Decision on the appointment of an Interim Administrator Interim Administrator Dave Miller stated he was stepping down from his role as Interim Administrator due to health reasons. He offered Public Works Director Michael Harmon was willing to step in as Interim Administrator for a period of time. Miller cautioned the Assembly from a long-term appointment so as not to place undue hardship on Harmon and his Department. The Assembly agreed and suggested an item be placed on the CITY AND BOROUGH OF SITKA Page 1 City and Borough Assembly Minutes - Final September 12, 2019 September 27 agenda to discuss a long-term appointment for an Interim Administrator if it appeared to be needed. A motion was made by Paxton to APPOINT Michael Harmon as Interim Administrator for 30 days (October 12) beginning at 5:00 p.m. The motion PASSED by the following vote. Yes: 5- Eisenbeisz, Knox, Wein, Paxton, and Mosher No: 2- Bean, and Nelson V. PERSONS TO BE HEARD: None. VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION None. VII. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Mosher to ADJOURN.
