CALL TO ORDER II. FLAG SALUTE III. ROLL CALL Present: 5 - Mosher, Eisenbeisz, Himschoot, Duncan, and Miller Absent: 2 - Christianson, and Knox IV. CORRESPONDENCE/AGENDA CHANGES None. V. PERSONS TO BE HEARD Garry White spoke in support of exploring the development of a port authority. Richard Wein reminded of Holocaust Remembrance Day. VI. NEW BUSINESS: A 22-015 Discussion / Direction / Decision of the FY2023 Municipal Budget with focus on the General Fund Finance Director Melissa Haley indicated a status quo guidance had been given, however, some changes were needed to maintain status quo. Haley outlined core service and non-core service areas where the need for improvement had been identified. She relayed while proposed resources were needed, it could lead to additional funding for infrastructure or address inefficiencies that would ultimately result in better management of resources overall and more funding to dedicate to infrastructure. Assembly members offered opinions on the additional resources requested. Guidance to the Administrator was to move forward and include numbers, determine the bottom line, and discuss at a future meeting. VII. PERSONS TO BE HEARD: Richard Wein thanked Michael Colliver for his work, spoke to Juneau's cruise ship passenger head tax, and opined on the budget presentation. Kevin Mosher thanked staff and Assembly members for their service and dedication. VIII. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Himschoot to ADJOURN. Hearing no objections, the meeting ADJOURNED at 8:50pm.
