CONSENT AGENDA A 24-111 Approve the minutes of the June 11, 12, 25, July 9, 23 Assembly meetings A motion was made by Carlson that this Item be APPROVED. The motion PASSED by the following vote. Yes: 4- Christianson, Mosher, Carlson, and Saline Absent: 3- Eisenbeisz, Ystad, and Pike X. BOARD, COMMISSION, COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS B 24-112 Appoint one to a three-year term on the Parks and Recreation Committee: 1) Brandon Marx (incumbent) 2) Katie Sill Brandon Marx and Katie Sill were nominated. Austin Cranford spoke in support of Sill. A round of voting ensued. Marx received four votes and was appointed. Sill received no votes. C 24-113 Reappoint: 1) Andrew Callistini to a three-year term on the Port and Harbors Commission 2) Amy Zanuzoski to a three-year term on the Local Emergency Planning Committee under category 4 "community groups" and Appoint: 1) Zachery Carlson to a three-year term on the Local Emergency Planning Committee under category 7 "LEPC Information Coordinator/SERC liaison" A motion was made by Christianson that this Item be APPROVED. The motion PASSED by the following vote. Yes: 4- Christianson, Mosher, Carlson, and Saline Absent: 3- Eisenbeisz, Ystad, and Pike XI. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. XII. NEW BUSINESS: D 24-115 Approve the Health Needs and Human Services Commission 2024 goals Chair Crystal Duncan reviewed the goals: childcare services, community transportation, and elder services. Yes: 4- Christianson, Mosher, Carlson, and Saline Absent: 3- Eisenbeisz, Ystad, and Pike E ORD 24-21 Amending Title 2 “Administration and Personnel” of the Sitka General Code by adding Chapter 2.32 “Tourism Commission” Carlson summarized the ordinance, highlighting that it was a recommendation from the Tourism Task Force. She noted all seats were at-large, with one seat specifically nominated by the Sitka Tribe of Alaska. Austin Cranford commented. A motion was made by Carlson that this Ordinance be APPROVED on FIRST READING. The motion PASSED by the following vote. Yes: 4- Christianson, Mosher, Carlson, and Saline Absent: 3- Eisenbeisz, Ystad, and Pike XIII. PERSONS TO BE HEARD: None. XIV. REPORTS a. Mayor, b. Administrator, c. Attorney, d. Liaison Representatives, e. Clerk, f. Other Acting Administrator - Amy Ainslie reported on the following: a staff visit with Representative Peltola, a meeting with USDOT tribal affairs, an update on the US DOE Grid Deployment Office's Section 242 Hydroelectric Production Incentive Program, and Norwegian Cruise Lines' plan to stop sailing during the first three weeks of April and the last three weeks of October starting in 2026. Attorney - Michael Gatti updated he had been working with departments on various issues. Clerk - Peterson reported on board/commission vacancies and voting options for the October 1 regular municipal election. XV. EXECUTIVE SESSION None. XVI. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Carlson to ADJOURN.
