Main Street Coordinating Board Meeting Council Chambers, Town Hall 27 S Market Street Plaza, Smyrna, Delaware February 17th, 2022 – 8:30am Minutes Attendees: Mike Rasmussen, Amber Startt, Sharon Wright, Fred Schaber, Jeremy Rothwell, Jeff Spiegelman, Tabi Gott, Lindsay Powell Call to order at 8:32am Recognition of Visitors: None Potential Subcommittees: The Board discussed the ranking of potential projects from the survey Jeremy circulated after the last meeting. The top items, by number of votes were discussed as well as alignment and/or scaffolding of projects. Top potential projects committees were as follows • Welcome / Marketing Packets – Develop and disseminate a welcome/marketing packet to new residents in town when they set up their utilities., • Outreach - Quarterly Workshops and resources for development/redevelopment • Planning and Design Committee – Develop a Street Scape plan, including sidewalks, pedestrian amenities, entry point signage, banners, etc. • Downtown Arts – Develop a Mural and or downtown arts program • Downtown Event – Develop one or two signature events, aligned with other town events (Smyrna at Night, First Fridays, Etc.), to promote downtown Jeremy will flesh out these ideas a bit more and send around to the Board so that we can finalize them and assign members at the next meeting.
