Call to order 5p Visitor – Chance Buchanan In-person members – Chairwoman Tabi Gott, Vice-chairman Gerald Brown, Frederick Schaber IV, staff liaison Danielle Pope Zoom members – Mike Pearson, Darryl Bowen 2. Minutes Members couldn’t find them online, so it was decided that they’ll be approved at the next meeting. 3. Discussion on circus at George C. Wright Jr. Park in May 2022 Zerbini Family Circus c/o Joanne Masten will like to set up at George C. Wright Jr Municipal Park on Saturday May 21 and have shows on Sunday May 22 and Monday May 23. TG spoke about the history and asked for a vote of recommending approval to Mayor and Council. It’ll bring something to the community, help the Smy-Clay July 4 Foundation with funding, and more. It was unanimously approved by present members to be brought to Mayor and Council for review and voting. 4. Other committee business DP mentioned Christmas in Smyrna – popcorn stand, and other things SPD may need help with. TG said she plans to have a vehicle in the Light Parade. Small discussion on whether it’ll be for her campaign or for the P&R Committee; no one had a preference. GB talked about having future goals. Decision was made to not have a December meeting.
