Snohomish County Council Public Hearings Meeting Minutes Megan Dunn, Council Chair Jared Mead, Council Vice-Chair Councilmembers: Stephanie Wright, Sam Low, Nate Nehring Wednesday, January 12, 2022 10:30 AM Remote Meeting via Zoom CALL TO ORDER Council Chair Dunn called the public hearing to order at 10:30 a.m. ROLL CALL The clerk called the roll and stated that all five members were present. ACTION ITEMS PRESENT: Council Chair Dunn Council Vice-Chair Mead Councilmember Wright Councilmember Low Councilmember Nehring Nicole Gorle, Council Staff Elena Lao, Asst. Clerk of the Council 1. Ordinance 21-099, relating to Conservation Futures; amending 2021-1014 SCC 4.14.040 Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing and the clerk read the ordinance title into the record. Nicole Gorle, Senior Legislative Analyst, provided a staff report. Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing for public testimony and provided instructions for remote participation in the Zoom meeting. There being no persons present wishing to provide public testimony, she closed the testimony portion of the hearing calling for a motion or discussion of the Council. The clerk called the roll and the motion to approve Ordinance 21-099 carried unanimously. Ordinance 21-100, relating to the code of ethics; amending 2021-1008 Snohomish County Code 2.50.110 Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing and the clerk read the ordinance title into the record. Nicole Gorle, Senior Legislative Analyst, provided a staff report. Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing for public testimony and provided instructions for remote participation in the Zoom meeting. There being no persons present wishing to provide public testimony, she closed the testimony portion of the hearing calling for a motion or discussion of the Council. ACTION: Council Vice-Chair Mead made a motion to approve Ordinance 21-101. Councilmember Wright seconded the motion. The clerk called the roll and the motion to approve Ordinance 21-101 carried unanimously. Ordinance 21-102, vacating a portion of 20th St NE a Snohomish 2021-1045 County road Right-of-Way Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing and the clerk read the ordinance title into the record. Deb Bell, Legislative Analyst, provided a staff report. Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing for public testimony and provided instructions for remote participation in the Zoom meeting. There being no persons present wishing to provide public testimony, she closed the testimony portion of the hearing calling for a motion or discussion of the Council. Councilmember Low spoke in support of the ordinance as the Day family has waited over a year for the process to move forward. ACTION: Council Vice-Chair Mead made a motion to approve Ordinance 21-102. Councilmember Wright seconded the motion. The clerk called the roll and the motion to approve Ordinance 21-102 carried unanimously.
