Snohomish County Council Public Hearings Meeting Minutes Megan Dunn, Council Chair Jared Mead, Council Vice-Chair Councilmembers: Stephanie Wright, Sam Low, Nate Nehring Wednesday, May 11, 2022 10:30 AM Jackson Board Room & Remote Meeting PRESENT: Council Chair Dunn Council Vice-Chair Mead (remote) Councilmember Wright (remote) Councilmember Low (not present) Councilmember Nehring Ryan Countryman, Council Staff Debbie Eco, Clerk of the Council CALL TO ORDER Chair Dunn called the Council to order at 10:30 a.m. ROLL CALL The clerk called the roll and stated that four members were present. ACTION ITEMS 1. Ordinance 22-018, clarifying process for determining lead 2022-0391 department with lead agency responsibilities under the State Environmental Policy Act; amending Section 30.61.045 of Snohomish County Code Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing and the clerk read the ordinance title into the record. Ryan Countryman, Sr. Legislative Analyst, provided a brief staff report and explained the ordinance addresses the lead agency responsibilities under the State Environmental Policy Act and this ordinance would amend the code to clarify which departments would have these lead responsibilities. There were no questions from councilmembers. Page 1 of 2 Public Hearings Meeting Minutes May 11, 2022 Council Chair Dunn opened the hearing for public testimony and provided instructions for those wishing to provide testimony for both in-person and remote via Zoom. There being no persons present wishing to testify, Chair Dunn closed the testimony portion of the hearing calling for a motion or discussion of the Council. ACTION: Vice-Chair Mead made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 22-018. Councilmember Wright seconded the motion. The clerk called the roll and the motion to approve Ordinance No. 22-018 carried unanimously by the four members present. ADJOURN There being no further business, Chair Dunn adjourned the Council for the day at 10:34 a.m. Page 2 of 2
