Snohomish County Council Public Hearings Meeting Minutes Jared Mead, Council Chair Nate Nehring, Council Vice-Chair Councilmembers: Sam Low, Megan Dunn, Strom Peterson Wednesday, January 4, 2023 10:30 AM Jackson Board Room & Remote Meeting CALL TO ORDER Council Chair Mead called the public hearing to order at 10:30 a.m. ROLL CALL The clerk called the roll and stated that all five members were present. ACTION ITEMS PRESENT: Council Chair Mead Council Vice-Chair Nehring Councilmember Low (remote) Councilmember Dunn Councilmember Peterson (remote) Nicole Gorle, Council Staff Elena Lao, Asst. Clerk of the Council 1. Ordinance 22-071, relating to the Snohomish County Flood 2022-1189 Damage Reduction Grant Program; authorizing the Executive to execute Amendment No. 2 for French Slough Flood Control District Interlocal Agreement Council Chair Mead opened the hearing and the clerk read the ordinance title into the record. Page 1 of 2 Public Hearings Meeting Minutes January 04, 2023 Nicole Gorle, Senior Legislative Analyst, provided a staff report and explained that the proposed amendment extends the interlocal agreement for a Flood Damage Reduction Grant to December 31, 2023. Council Chair Mead opened the hearing for public testimony. There being no persons present wishing to testify, he closed the testimony portion of the hearing calling for a motion or discussion of the Council. ACTION: Council Vice-Chair Nehring made a motion to approve Ordinance 22-071. Councilmember Dunn seconded the motion. The clerk called the roll and the motion to approve Ordinance 22-071 carried unanimously. ADJOURN There being no further business, Council Chair Mead adjourned the Council for the day at 10:33 a.m. Page 2 of 2
