VILLAGE OF SOLON SPRINGS Public Budget Hearing & Regular Board Meeting Notice & Agendas Monday, April 16, 2018 at 7:00 pm Meeting location: Solon Springs Community Center 11523 S Business Hwy 53 in Solon Springs, WI 54873 7:00 p.m. Call the regular monthly meeting to order. a. Recital of Pledge of Allegiance b. Roll Call of Board Members c. Approval of Agenda d. Business by Public If you would like to speak before the Village Board, please sign your name on the sign-up sheet prior to the Board meeting. Due to requirements of the Wisconsin Open Meeting Laws, only matters placed on this agenda may be approved by the Board at the meeting. Citizens may address the Board regarding items which require no action. No personal attacks on individuals will be allowed, and all comments by members of the public shall be limited to three (3) minutes in length. People signed up to speak: e. Consent Agenda There will be no separate action on these items unless a Board Member Board utilizing a single vote. All licenses approved are contingent upon meeting Village Code requests, and the Board approves. Approval of minutes for the regular monthly board meeting 3/26/18 and special board meeting 4/9/18. 2. Treasurer's report for March (Profit and Loss, and Reconciliation Detail). 3. Approval of payments for General fund checking and Sewer fund checking; all listed on the Expenditure report dated April 16, 2018. g. Correspondence received since March 28, 2018 regular meeting to be acknowledged and placed on file: 1. Douglas County Highway Department on road striping prices 2. Douglas County Forestry Department Invite to Spring Forestry Meeting 3. Invite to League Government 101 Seminar 1 h. Approval of Zoning permit applications: 1. Beth Nickel – Judd Kern renewal of permit #1975 & #1954 - new foundation with partial basement, new windows, roof, siding, interior remodel 2. Tom Krenz – raze open porch, steps and 16x16 deck, add enclosed porch and screen porch Licensing: 1. Approval of Operators Licenses issued: none 2. Consideration and approval of published liquor license applications: none 3. Consideration and approval of Class “B”/Picnic license application: Lions Club Smelt Fry 4. Consideration and approval of cigarette license – none Business by the Board: Unfinished Business: 1. Solon Springs Forward Co-op leasing Old Village Hall 2. Douglas County – parking lot parcel by park 3. Village Ordinance Review – set date to review 4. New election equipment – final cost will be $4,892.99 5. Solon Springs Fire Department – New rig New Business: 1. Village land – strip between pond &Business 53, to allow county access for dam repairs 2. Village land – across from hardware store – possible signage 3. Village land – 10 acres in town 4. Road striping – Douglas County Highway Department 5.
