followed. The cemetery board thanks Mr. Koscho for taking the time to present his observations on
cemetery improvements.
Old Business:
Columbarium: Tabled
Tree Removal from Memorial Garden: Bob’s Tree Service has been contacted regarding the tree
removal. A large branch from a birch tree in sec E has broken but is still partially attached, will need
to be added to the work order for Bob’s Tree Service. The board wishes to revisit the request to
remove the two large trees in the Memorial Garden. Due to the large amount of dropping, the bricks
/benches underneath the trees are discolored and the droppings have created a very messy
appearance.
Cemetery Mapping: Larence Verga continues to update the cemetery mapping. Cemetery clerk has
obtained several maps of the cemetery, Cemetery clerk will e-mail them to the members.
Drainage in Sec. B. and L. Section L drainage plans remain on hold until Ludwig ditch has been
cleared. No update on the ditch clearing at this time. Section B was discussed, the board would
like Emil Ruth to revisit his proposal for Sec B and present it to the Buildings and Grounds
committee.
New Business:
Grant: Board Member Chris Gallagher will be submitting a grant for $2,500.00 to assist with
cemetery projects. The Community and Economic Development Committee has proposed a
Veterans Memorial to be placed in Evergreen Cemetery. Chris presented the cemetery board with
preliminary planning of this project. Chris will be the point person as the project moves forward.
Clerk Updates: A hand-out with sales/internments was made available to board members. Three
bricks have been sold for the Memorial Garden. Board members gave inscription approvals. They
will be sent out for inscription. Milano Monuments had concerns about a monument and footer
instillation. Clerk, Sexton and board member viewed monument and determined that it was not a
footer issue but appears to be monument and monument base issue. Clerk will follow up with
Milano Monument.
Cemetery Sexton update: Cut lower hanging branches from a large broken birch tree branch. Met
with clerk and board members to determine and mark trees that need removal. Funeral 7/9/24.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted by Natalie Iafolla, Cemetery Clerk
