Board Members present: Andrew Johnson, Rosemary Leshinski, Marilyn Makruski
Visitors: Council member Jeanne Maschari, Emil Ruth of GoGreen Landscaping
Agenda
Andrew Johnson asked if there were any amendments to the agenda. Rosemary Leshinski requested to add
Pioneer Cemetery fencing to the agenda. Emil Ruth asked to have the road construction discussion moved to the
first item of the evening because he was on snow removal duty for his business that night. Marilyn Makruski made
a motion to approve the agenda. Rosemary seconded the motion. The roll was called in favor.
Agenda Items Discussed
Road Construction – Emil Ruth of GoGreen Landscaping presented a proposal for the construction of the new
road leading from 113 into Section L at Evergreen Cemetery. The Board felt the proposed cost of the project was
reasonable. They asked Emil to make edits to the proposal giving more construction specifics. Emil said he would
work on it and have it to the Board by February’s meeting.
Columbarium Project – Cemetery columbarium niche pricing was discussed. It was agreed that the cemetery
could make a decent profit selling niches. The Board agreed that the newest version of Franklin Monument’s
contract is good to be forwarded to the village attorney for review. Paula Knodel will forward the contract to Laurie
Beran, records clerk, to be sent to Matthew Mishak for review. Once the contract with Franklin Monument is
finalized, the Board will revise the Bylaws and price sheets as needed.
2023 Appropriations – The Board discussed, and several adjustments were made to the 2023 Appropriations
report submitted last year. The final numbers are due to be turned in to the Fiscal Clerk by January 31, 2023.
Andrew Johnson moved to accept the changes. Marylin Makruski seconded the motion. The roll was called in
favor.
Pioneer Fencing – Rosemary received a quote from Banks Manufacturing, Grafton, OH, for sand blasting and
powder coating the old fence at Pioneer Cemetery. The budget provides funds for this project. She will be making
arrangements with Banks Manufacturing to start with six to eight sections of fencing at a time. David Valentine will
be employed to take the sections out to Banks. Rosemary said Banks will be in charge of installing the completed
sections.
Marilyn Makruski moved to adjourn. Rosemary Leshinski seconded. The roll was called with all in favor
Respectfully Submitted
