Village of South Blooming Grove SPECIAL Meeting WEDNESDAY MaY 3, 2023 8:00pm  Call to order Deputy Mayor Weiss called to order the Village Board Special Meeting at 8:06 pm on May 3, 2023, for the Village of South Blooming Grove located at 811 State Route 208, within the Village of South Blooming Grove, and having a mailing address of Monroe, New York.  Roll call The following persons were present: o Abraham Weiss – Deputy Mayor o Yitzchok Feldman - Trustee o Zalmon Rosner – Trustee o Scott Ugell Esq. – Village Attorney o Kerry Dougherty – Village Clerk o Isaac Ekstein – Legislative Aide to Mayor o Joel Stern – Confidential Assistant to the Mayor o N/A – Al Fusco – Village Engineer o Absent – George Kalaj - Mayor o Absent – Asher Guttman - Trustee  Discussion o Isaac Ekstein discussed the lawsuit from Orange County regarding Gonzaga Park Road and the need for special counsel to reply as soon as possible. Trustee Feldman stated that it is important to have good counsel. Attorney Ugell highly recommended the firm Monaco Cooper Lamme & Carr, PLLC and all agreed.  Public Comment  Business o Resolution No. (30) – Resolution of the Village Board of the Village of South Blooming Grove Retaining special counsel for Orange County vs. Village of South Blooming Grove. Motion to accept by Trustee Feldman, seconded by Trustee Rosner. 3 Ayes, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Rosner, Trustee Feldman. 2 Absent Mayor Kalaj, Trustee Guttman  Adjournment o Motion to close the meeting by Trustee Rosner, seconded by Trustee Feldman. 3 Ayes, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Feldman, Trustee Rosner. 2 Absent Mayor Kalaj, Trustee Guttman.
