Consideration and possible action on an Ordinance amending Chapter 9, Article 1, Section 9-2, of the Code of Ordinances, to rescind an Ordinance passed on December 5, 1950, for a certain time period and at certain locations, in order to facilitate in the celebration of Chinese New Year, hosted by Vu Enterprises on Wednesday, January 31, 2025 7. Consideration and possible action to approve an agreement between the City of South Houston and the law firm of Linebarger Goggan Blair and Sampson, LLP to act as Special Counsel to perform all legal services necessary to collect unpaid fines, fees and court costs as approved in Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 103.0031; and to authorize Mayor Soto to execute the agreement on the City’s behalf 8. Consideration and possible action to adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of South Houston regarding Linebarger Goggan Blair and Sampson, LLP as being fully qualified as Special Counsel to perform all legal services pursuant to Section 2254.1036 of the Texas Government Code 9. Consideration and possible action on the minutes of the regular council meeting held on December10, 2024 10. Consideration and possible action on Finance Resolution No. 2024-24 and 2025-01 authorizing payment city vendors and contractors submitting invoices 11. Council Reports 12. Mayor’s Report 13.
