PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL – Ald. Briesemeister 1) Motion to adopt items in the consent agenda. 2) Reminder that the Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Common Council meeting is cancelled due to holidays, events, and vacation. Reports of Standing Committees HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE – Ald. Briesemeister 3) Discussion/possible motion regarding the wage rate of incoming City Clerk Steve Braatz. LEGISLATION & PERMITS COMMITTEE – Ald. Pieper 4) Discussion/possible motion regarding a “Class B” Beer and Alcohol license application from PPCC LLC, Guriqbal Sra, Agent, for 305 N. Chicago Avenue for the 2025-2026 license year. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – Fire Chief 5) Discussion/possible motion to accept the donation of the historic American LaFrance Ladder Truck origi- nally purchased by the City of South Milwaukee in 1938 with funding for shipping costs to be provided by the Bucyrus Foundation grant. Council Agenda – July 15, 2025 1 MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – Economic Development 6) Discussion/possible motion regarding final approval for painted crosswalk art on 11th Avenue at Milwau- kee Avenue with funding provided by the Bucyrus Foundation grant. 7) Presentation from Savage Solutions on the South Milwaukee Sam campaign and the Samtemberfest event. 8) Presentation from UW-Whitewater Enactus on the RenewTowns storefront business pitch competition for downtown revitalization. 9) Discussion/possible motion regarding an agreement with UW-Whitewater Enactus on the RenewTowns storefront business pitch competition for downtown revitalization with funding provided by the Bucyrus Foundation grant. 10) Discussion/possible consideration to approve an ordinance amending Chapter 21 Property Maintenance Code. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – City Administrator 11) Discussion/possible motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 19.85 (1)(c) and (e) for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of public employees over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility and de- liberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session, specifically to discuss labor negotiations with the South Milwaukee Professional Police Association and South Milwaukee Firefighters Protective Association and to discuss a potential agreement with Milwau- kee County and Scott Crawford, Inc. regarding the construction of a new senior citizen center. 12) Motion to return to open session and take any necessary action on closed session items. 13) Discussion/possible motion regarding a 2026-2028 labor agreement with the South Milwaukee Profes- sional Police Association.
