Chicago Avenue for the period ending December 31, 2025. Council Agenda – September 2, 2025 1 PUBLIC WORKS AND PUBLIC PROPERTY COMMITTEE – Ald. Backes 6) Discussion/possible motion to adopt an ordinance to amend Sec. §28.03 of the Municipal Code increasing bus stop clearance requirements from 40 feet to 80 feet per Milwaukee County Transit System guidelines. 7) Discussion/possible motion to adopt the Stop Sign Policy. 8) Discussion/possible motion to adopt a resolution amending the Stop Sign and Yield Sign Master Map to establish a two-way stop control at the intersection of Montana Avenue and 3rd Avenue. 9) Presentation and discussion/possible motion to adopt the South Milwaukee Municipal Safety Action Plan. 10) Discussion/possible motion to adopt a resolution formalizing the city of South Milwaukee’s commitment to Vision Zero principles. 11) Discussion/possible motion regarding authorizing staff to purchase two additional garbage cans for the downtown area. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – Economic Development 14) Discussion/possible motion regarding the potential sale and development of 1000 Milwaukee Avenue. 15) Discussion/possible motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. §19.85(1)(e) for the purpose of discussing strategy for the potential sale and a development agreement for 1000 Milwaukee Avenue in Tax Increment District No. 5. 16) Motion to return to open session and take any necessary action on closed session items. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – Ald. Pieper 17) Discussion/possible motion for a Bucyrus Foundation grant for Trackers Pub & Grub at 1401 Rawson Avenue due to the road construction near the business.
