1. Land Acknowledgement
We would like to acknowledge that we are on the traditional land of the first people of
Wabanakek or Dawnland. The Passamaquoddy, Micmac, Penobscot, Abenaki and
Maliseet collectively represent the Wabanaki Confederacy. We acknowledge their
ancestors- past, present and future. We honor with gratitude the land itself and this calls
us to commit to learning to be better stewards of the land we inhabit and invite all people
to share in the work.

• Minutes from February 2nd:

o February 26th at 5pm – Equity Centered Training at the Community Center
o March 12th at 5pm – Training Session at Community Center for President, VP, and
Secretary
o March 26th – Mandatory Training for all Commission Members
o Jetport paying fine of $125,000 for tree clearing and also replanting trees on the site.
o Solar project also pulled out.
• Events and Outreach
o Top priorities/idea/notes for Mahoney Project:
▪ Bird Safe Glass
▪ Stormwater/surface water issue mentioned
▪ Buffer zone with Trout Brook
▪ Ensure runoff diversion
▪ Ensure protection of green space at Mahoney to the maximum extent
practicable
▪ Avoid development of the current greenspace at Mahoney
o Strategic Plan
▪ SPCC reviewed the strategic plan draft from April 2025
▪ Discussed opportunities to partner and ways to engage.
