Committee will discuss the results of the City Council Workshop from March 3,
2026 where the HPC recommended nominating the Central Fire Station at 684
Broadway to the Inventory of Archaeological and Historical Resources .
3. Committee Recommendations for National Registry of Historic Places Properties
Committee Updates on List of Properties under consideration for the National Park
Service National Registry of Historic Places designation.

4. Discussion of Fall Historic Neighborhood Walk
Committee to discuss hosting a historic neighborhood walk and potential of

Committee to discuss recruiting new members and channels to promote open
committee positions.

1. Staff Updates
A.Committee workshops scheduled for February 26 and March 6 at the South Portland
CommunityCenter at 5:00 p.m.
B. Approval granted for Central Fire Station workshop on March 3rd. The Planning
Department will give the presentation which was approved unanimously by the Historic
Preservation Committee.
C. Jane’s Walk ideas are being accepted through March 27. Greater Portland
Landmarks is hosting. Mitchell Road, Sylvan Sites, and Willard Square discussed.

45 Mitchell Road – Follow up by Kathryn DiPhilippo.
61 Mitchell Road – Mike O’Flinn to contact owner.
913 Sawyer Road – Nicole Reagan to send letter.
12 Richards Street – Nicole Reagan to follow up with Julia McCue.

Draft reviewed with revisions for clarity and added original plans.
