Administrative Items 1. Review and Approve Meeting Minutes • Motion: Approve minutes of May 2026 meeting o Passes unanimously C. Member Update 1. Round Robin Discussion • No Round Robin items this month D. Old Business 1. Staff Updates • Maine Arts Commission Creative Communities Grant & Feedback on Submission Page 3 of 5 o Committee discussed recommendation to clearly separate the city's capital improvement funds for infrastructure from the creative grant funding used for artist awards. o Committee discussed the difficulty of adhering to the city's fiscal year schedule when applying for municipal -based grants and agreed that they should contact the grant organizers to provide feedback on these timing challenges. o The committee discussed the need for a detailed evaluation plan for future submissions and reflected on a past mural project where they successfully used a specific, bulleted description of desired characteristics to manageably score and select effective artwork. o Change the color for Private Art. • Public Art Map and Draft of Public Art Map Recommendation Form o Add a photo upload o Add a Other/Misc. section to type of art. o Add a Public or Private option. • Update on Director – Econ. Dev. Dept. creating a directory for businesses, including artist spaces and galleries 2. Trailside Art Project Updates • Deposit payment to Josh was delayed so timing is very tight for fabrication of the post / framing, but still possible • James has set up a meeting this Thursday to coordinate between Josh Reiman the fabricator and Karl Coughlin from Parks and rec to coordinate installation logistics and timing. • Goal is to have the installation up and completed the last week of July for the Art in the park Event. E. New Business 1. Trailside Art Project Call for Artists • Current call for artists draft was reviewed by the committee • It was debated whether or not to include more specific direction of language as to what themes or kinds of art we are asking for. • It was decided best to leave the call a more open to attract a larger diversity of artists. • Current call for artists language was approved by the committee. 2. Art in the Park Sign Up for Tabling • Allison & Liz 9-11am • Marc 11-12pm • Deidra or Willis 12-2pm (One of them needs to be asked) • James 2-4pm F. Public Comment Period • No comments G. Current and Future Projects 1. Future Agenda Page 4 of 5 • Marc would like to add discussion about supporting his music festival in September and the PAC’s participation in the event. H.
