SOUTH ST. PAUL CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF JANUARY 7, 2013 The organizational meeting of the City Council was called to order by the Mayor Beth Baumann at 7:15 P.M. on Monday, January 7, 2013. ROLL CALL : Present, Mayor Beth Baumann Councilmembers Hansen, Lehmann, Niederkorn, Podgorski, Rothecker, Seaberg Absent, None Also Present, City Administrator, Steve King City Attorney, Kori Land City Engineer, John Sachi City Clerk, Christy Wilcox 1) Posting of Colors by the VFW Gallagher Hansen Post No. 295. 2) Performance by the South St. Paul Male Chorus. 3) Oath of Offices In the presence of Bruce Baumann, Sharon Freiling and Christy Wilcox, City Clerk the Oath of Office was administered to the following elected City Officials, each of whom recited and subscribed the Oath of Office: 1. Mayor Beth Baumann 2. Councilmember Lori Hansen 3. Councilmember Christopher Lehmann 4. Councilmember Dan Niederkorn 4) Agenda Moved by Lehmann/Hansen MOVED: To approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 7 ayeas/0 nays 5) Consent Agenda Moved by Lehmann/Hansen Resolved, that the South St. Paul City Council does hereby take the following actions: 1. Resolution No. 2013-5, approving accounts payable 2. Resolution No. 2013-4, designating the City’s Depositories for 2013. 3. Resolution No. 2013-3, authorizing adjustment to the City’s mileage reimbursement rate in accordance with IRS regulations. City Council Minutes of January 7, 2013 1  4. Resolution No. 2013-1, accepting Grants and Gifts from the South St. Paul Lions Club for funding replacement dugouts at McGuire Field and Harmon Park 5. Resolution No. 2013-2, accepting Grants and Gifts from the William W. Beyer Trust to the South St. Paul Public Library for special purchases authorized by the Library Board 6. Temporary On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor Licenses to Church of the Holy Trinity for February 8, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 7. Authorize the hiring of Brianna Britson as a part-time Police Clerk in the Police Department. Motion carried 7 ayes/0 nays 6) Appointment of Acting Mayor Moved by Hansen/Lehmann MOVED: That Councilmember Seaberg is appointed Acting Mayor in accordance with the provisions of Subsection 201.02 of the Municipal Code.
