SOUTH ST. PAUL CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF MARCH 4 , 2013 The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by the Mayor Beth Baumann at 7:15 P.M. on Monday, March 4, 2013. ROLL CALL : Present, Mayor Beth Baumann Councilmembers Hansen, Lehmann, Niederkorn, Podgorski, Rothecker, Seaberg Absent, None Also Present, City Administrator, Steve King City Attorney, Kori Land City Clerk, Christy Wilcox City Engineer, John Sachi City Planner, Peter Hellegers 5) Presentations The Mayors Youth Task Force gave a presentation on the 2013 All City Food Drive. The theme for this years’ food drive is “What Will You Bring to the Table?” Anna Stoll, South St. Paul Jaycees discussed their annual food drive and invited all to take part of The Rolling Party to be held on Thursday, March 7th at the Croatian Hall. 6) Citizens ’ Comments There were no citizen comments. 7) Agenda Moved by Seaberg/Lehmann MOVED: To approve the agenda. City Council meeting minutes of February 19, 2013 2. Resolution No. 2013-33, approving accounts payable 3. Resolution No. 2013-37, approving residential rental housing licenses 4. Resolution No. 2013-32, approving business licenses 5. Resolution No. 2013-36, approving RVK Architect proposal for additional architectural services for the renovation of Wakota Civic Arena City Council Minutes of March 4 , 2013 1  Motion carried 7 ayes/0 nays 10a) 2013 Sealcoat Streets Moved by Podgorski/Hansen MOVED: To approve nine (9) street segments for sealcoating in 2013 to be included as part of the continuous Joint Powers Agreement approved in 2012 with the cities of Burnsville, Apple Valley, Eagan, Elko/New Market, Farmington, Hastings, Lakeville, Mendota Heights, Prior Lake, Rosemount, Savage, Shakopee, Waconia and West St. Paul. Motion carried 7 ayes/0 nays 10b) Consider Appointment of n ew Finance Director Moved by Podgorski/Lehmann MOVED: To adopt Resolution No. 2013-34, appointing Michelle Pietrick as Finance Director and City Treasurer for the City of South St. Paul. Motion carried 7 ayes/0 nays 10c) Authorize Recruitment for new Assistant Finance Director Moved by Seaberg/Hansen MOVED: To approve the revised job description of the Assistant Finance Director and authorize the recruitment. Motion carried 7 ayes/0 nays 10d) Award of Bid – 2012-019 – Water Meter Replacement Moved by Seaberg/Hansen MOVED: To adopt Resolution No. 2013-35, accepting the bids and awarding 2012-19 Water Meter Replacement Project to Ferguson Waterworks. Motion carried 7 ayes/0 nays 10f) Approve Plan Alternatives for City Hall Security Upgrades Moved by Niederkorn/Seaberg MOVED: To approve the plan alternatives for City Hall security upgrades and authorize purchase from Delta System.
