SOUTH ST. PAUL CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF AUGUST 19, 2019 Mayor James Francis called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019. ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor Francis Councilmembers Dewey, Flatley, Forester, Hansen, Kaliszewski and Seaberg Absent: None Also Present: City Administrator, Joel Hanson Attorney, Peter Mikhail City Clerk, Christy Wilcox 5) Presentations  City Clerk Christy Wilcox administered the Oath of Office to Police Officer Jessica Fuchs  Representatives of the South St. Paul Jaycees presented the City and Parks and Recreation with a donation for the youth fee assistance program  Members of the South St. Paul Lions Club presented the City and Police Department with a donation to be used for the K-9 program  Mayor Francis presented Mr. Yaeger of the Croatian Hall a proclamation celebrating 100 years 6) Citizens’ Comments  There were no citizen comments 7) Agenda Moved by Seaberg/Flatley MOVED: To approve the agenda as presented. Minutes of the City Council meeting of August 5, 2019 B. Resolution No. 2019-117, approving accounts payable C. Resolution No. 2019-113, accepting Grants and Gifts from the South St. Paul Jaycees to fund youth fee assistance for parks and recreation programs D. Approval Final Payment #3 for Dahn Construction for the Concord Exchange Retaining Wall (Project 2018-014) E. Resolution No. 2019-115, accept donation of $7,000 to the City of South St. Paul from South St. Paul Lions Club for Police K9 Unit F. Business Licenses G. Approve contract between the City of South St. Paul and Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC for the 2019 Crack Seal Project Motion carried 7 ayes / 0 nays 10A) Agreement with MN DNR for Seidl’s Lake Pumping Station Moved by Kaliszewski/Forester MOVED: To adopt Resolution No. 2019-118, approving State of Minnesota General Obligation Bond Grant contract with the City of South St. Paul for the Seidl’s Lake Pumping Station.
