Notice of Quorum of the Spearfish City Council City of Spearfish, South Dakota September 15, 2020 The City of Spearfish will be holding public meetings on September 29 and October 1, 2020, both at 5:30 p.m. in the gym located in the Recreation and Aquatic Center at 122 Recreation Lane, Spearfish, South Dakota. In accordance with South Dakota Codified Law 1-25-1, notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Spearfish City Council may be present. No official business will be decided. The City of Spearfish invites residents to come and participate in public input sessions as a part of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Two meetings will be held on:  September 29, 2020 – focusing on parks, paths, and trails  October 1, 2020 – focusing on Recreation and Aquatic Center programs and facilities Both sessions will run from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and will be in held the gym at the Recreation and Aquatic Center, 122 Recreation Lane, Spearfish, South Dakota. Residents are free to come and join at any time while the session is active. Discussion will focus on:  Accomplishing the Parks and Recreation department’s mission statement  The community’s vision for the department and its offerings  Fiscal and budgetary concerns  General discussion and input on all things parks and rec Each topic will have its own station and participants will have two methods of providing input:  They may write down their input with provided pens/pencils and paper and simply post it to the station’s easel board, and/or  They may join a station and discuss each topic with City staff and fellow participants for a set amount of time *note – station seats will be spaced 6 feet apart and the number of seats per station will be limited. Participants wanting to join these discussions are strongly encouraged to wear masks. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided, and staff will be sanitizing the room throughout the session. Residents who are unable or unwilling to attend the in-person sessions will have a chance to provide direct input via an online meeting to be held at a later date.
