Spearfish City Council Special Session Minutes July 26, 2024 3:00 p.m. The Spearfish City Council met at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024. Mayor Senden was present and called the meeting to order. Roll call was taken with the following members present: Clark, Hafner, Hourigan, Klarenbeek, and Rath. Absent: Jacobs. Also present: Library Director Wilde, Human Resources Director Mathis, Public Safety Director Rotert, Assistant Police Chief Dean, Planning Director Koelbel, Park and Recreation Director Ehnes, Public Works Director McMahon, Assistant Finance Officer Tyler, and Executive Assistant Gengler. All stood and recited the pledge of allegiance. Clark moved, Hourigan seconded, and all voted to approve the agenda. Executive Session – Hourigan moved, Rath seconded, and all voted to enter executive session at 3:01 p.m. pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(3) for the purpose of discussing the qualifications, competence, performance, character of fitness of any public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee. The council returned to regular session at 3:49 p.m. There being no further business, Hourigan moved, Clark seconded, and all voted to adjourn at 3:50 p.m. Dated this 26th Day of July, 2024.
