Cemetery Board

Spring Hill Cemetery Board Meeting 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2020 Telephone Conference Members participating in telephone conference: Larry Sumner, Joy Rose, Susan Crawford, Don Skinner, Bill Peterman and Christine Hecke Christine Hecke called the meeting to order. There were no minutes from the March meeting because we did not have a quorum. Treasurer’s report was given with the following amounts: checking account-$12,725.53, savings account- $33,519.28 and two CD’s-$14, 476.27 and $60,034.08. Larry Sumner made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and Don Skinner seconding the motion. Motion passed. There were three bills to pay. They were Downey Lawn for $900.00 for mowing, Lonnie Van Arsdale for $630.00 for leveling graves and stone repair and City of Spring Hill for $2027.00 for legal fees. Bill Peterman made the motion to pay the bills. Don Skinner seconded the motion. Motion passed. Bill Peterman made a motion to accept the bylaws for the cemetery board. Susan Crawford seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken and motion passed. Bill Peterman made a motion to accept the rules and regulation changes for the cemetery with Susan Crawford seconding the motion. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed. Bill Peterman said he would like to be treasurer of the cemetery. Roll call vote was taken and Bill Peterman will be the treasurer. It was decided to table the position for secretary until the next meeting. Larry Sumner shared the proposed budget for the next two years. There was some discussion and it was decided to table the budget until the next meeting. Bill Peterman made the motion to table the budget until next meeting and Larry Sumner seconded the motion. Roll call vote was taken. Motion passed. Larry Sumner gave a report on the process of entering data in the computer program for the cemetery. He said the information is put on the computer in alphabetical order and when completed, we will need to walk the cemetery to check the block and section grave locations. Meeting was adjourned.
