Spring Hill Cemetery Board Mee�ng 7:00 p.m. September 5, 2023 Civic Center, Spring Hill, Kansas Members present: Keith S�les, Joy Rose, Susan Crawford, Polly Mahoney, Larry Sumner, Chris�ne Hecke President Larry Sumner called the mee�ng to order. I. Approval of Minutes Chris�ne Hecke read the minutes from the August mee�ng. Polly Mahoney made the mo�on to accept the minutes. Joy Rose second. Passed 5-0 II. Treasurer’s Report Joy Rose presented the treasurer’s report. Keith S�les made the mo�on to accept the report. Susan Crawford second. Passed 5-0 III. New Business Kim Deffenbaugh has resigned from the cemetery board. The stone damage on the entrance gates has been repaired. Kevin Allenbrand will begin repair work on the metal gates within the next week. We will earmark the $15,000 from the CD and add $20,000 in the saving account for asphal�ng the driveway. This will make a total of $35,000 earmarked for asphalt. Keith S�les made the mo�on earmark the money for asphal�ng the drive. Polly Mahoney second. Passed 5-0. We will loan our service branch flags to the city to use for the Fall Fes�val parade. Keith S�les made the mo�on to loan the flags for the parade and Susan Crawford second. Passed 5-0 The weeds on the ground south of the cemetery have been mowed. IV. Old Business The city has repaired the waterline so there is running water at the cemetery. An official from the city will work with property owners about the dead trees on the east side of the cemetery. V. Adjourned Mee�ng Polly Mahoney made the mo�on to adjourn the mee�ng.
