How can we have a voice in increased traffic patrols in Cherry Grove? Specifically, between Kidman and Brisbane. Speeders flow thru here all day, everyday with very little effort from the city to address the problem. This avenue has been a problem for over two years, please address the problem. I can’t be the only person on the street complaining about it. People obviously use this as the main shortcut between 31 and Buckner. I’m outside with my wife and kids (7, 5, and 1 year old) every day. They like to walk on the side walks and it’s terrifying to me sometimes because of how fast people drive down this road (including construction dump trucks, concrete trucks, you name it). There are a lot of kids and families walking and playing on these sidewalks everyday. Inches away from people speeding and also messing with their phones while speeding. It’s so dangerous. My home office overlooks a very long stretch of the road so i see people speeding down this portion of the road all day everyday. The most disappointing part of this is I’ve never once seen (in 3+ years of living at this house) a policeman pulling someone over in this stretch of road. I’ve seen a policeman sit at the bottom of the hill to deter people from speeding (and it’s been probably a couple years since that’s happened), but never pull someone over. PLEASE send a patrol car to this neighborhood. I’ll be happy to show them where they can sit and catch speeders. The only way to slow this traffic is speed bumps (which no one wants) or for people to start getting tickets. Once they know that patrol cars ticket people on this stretch pretty often, it will drastically reduce the amount of speeders...and potentially save some kids life.
