RECORD OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI November 21, 2017 ______________________________________________________________________________ The City Council convened in a Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, with President of the Council John Hanneke, presiding, and the Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith and the Members of the Council present as follows: Dave Beckering, Tom Besselman, Bart Haberstroh, Rod Herrmann, Mary Ann Ohms, Vince Ratchford and Mary West. Absent: Bridget Ohmes and Jerry Reese. Assistant City Clerk Kimberly Hudson was present and performed the duties of that office. A motion was made by ROD HERRMANN to excuse the absence of Councilmember Bridget Ohmes and Councilmember Jerry Reese. MARY WEST seconded the motion. All voted in favor, motion passed. Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2018-2023 (RCA Attached) REPORT OF THE MAYOR/AWARDS/PROCLAMATIONS/PRESENTATIONS Special Performance by the Christmas Traditions Carolers Entertainment was provided by the Christmas Traditions Carolers. Proclamation Declaring November 13 – 17, 2017 as American Education Week in the City of Saint Charles The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith presented a proclamation declaring November 13 – 17, 2017, as “American Education Week”. Larry DuFour representing the St. Charles Legion Post 312 accepted the proclamation. Mr. DuFour reported students from the Community were asked to write an essay titled “Why I Should be a Good Neighbor and Citizen”. Three area students were recognized and read their winning essays.
