RECORD OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI February 19, 2019 ______________________________________________________________________________ The City Council convened in a Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, with President of the Council John Hanneke, presiding, and the Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith and Members of the Council present as follows: Tom Besselman, Bart Haberstroh, Rod Herrmann, Bridget Ohmes, Mary Ann Ohms, Vince Ratchford, Jerry Reese and Mary West. Absent: Dave Beckering. City Clerk Laura Whitehead was present and performed the duties of that office. File #48881 A motion was made by ROD HERRMANN to excuse the absence of Councilmember Dave Beckering. MARY ANN OHMS seconded the motion. All voted in favor, motion passed. PUBLIC HEARING The President of the Council John Hanneke announced that the Public Hearing would now be held. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Regular Session continued with the order of business: A. Petition to Establish the Suits U Mexico Community Improvement District Pursuant to Sections 67.1401-67.1571 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, As Amended (Council Bill 12770) REPORT OF THE MAYOR/AWARDS/PROCLAMATIONS/PRESENTATIONS Presentation by the Ad Hoc Committee to Preserve Franklin School (referred by Councilmember Mary Ann Ohms) Due to the inclement weather, this presentation will be given at a future City Council Meeting. Special Recognition (referred by Mayor Sally A. Faith) This recognition will be presented at a future City Council Meeting. Verbal Update Relative to Various Road Projects (Administration/Engineering) Director of Engineering Brad Temme provided a brief update on the following projects: Elm/Sibley, Convention Center, West Clay, Cole Creek and Concordia Culvert. Mayor Faith and Mr. Temme announced the upcoming Road Show dates and locations: Thursday, February 21 at Memorial Hall, Wednesday, February 27 at the Police Department and Wednesday, March 6 at the Public Works Facility.
