RECORD OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI December 17, 2019 ______________________________________________________________________________ The City Council convened in a Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at 7:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, with President of the Council Mary West, presiding, and the Honorable Mayor Daniel J. Borgmeyer and Members of the Council present as follows: Tom Besselman, Michael Flandermeyer, Bart Haberstroh. Bridget Ohmes, Mary Ann Ohms, Vince Ratchford, Jerry Reese and David Seitzer. Absent: None. City Clerk Laura Whitehead was present and performed the duties of that office. The meeting was opened with the Invocation, those present standing in a moment of silence, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. PUBLIC HEARING The President of the Council Mary West announced that the Public Hearing and Administrative Hearing would now be held. At the conclusion of the hearings, the Regular Session continued with the order of business: A. Public Hearing: Case No. LL-2019-39. Approval of Liquor License Application for Anthony Marchetto d/b/a Prasino located at 1520 South Fifth Street, Suite 110 (RCA Attached) B. Administrative Hearing: Case No. C/A-2019-95(EC). Appeal of a Decision by the Landmarks Board to Deny Approval of Certificate of Appropriateness for 230 North Main Street. The Proposed Project calls for After-the-Fact Approval for Replacement of the Wooden Handrail and Post System with a Vinyl Post and Handrail System on the Second Floor Front Gallery Porch. Borgmeyer The Honorable Mayor Daniel Borgmeyer announced the City of Saint Charles has been successful in securing approximately $6,000,000 from state funds. $5,000,000 towards the Riverpointe Project and approximately $1,000,000 for a partnership project in the expansion of FedEx.
