On Monday, May 11, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will hold
its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200
North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be
present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application.
Failure to provide answers to the Board’s questions may result in your application being tabled or
denied.
1. Call to order and call the roll.
2. Consent Agenda
(A) Case No. C/A 2015-15(EC). 130 Lindenwood Avenue. Joseph Steineger. The
applicant is requesting approval to replace the windows with wood clad windows
with simulated divided lights to match the existing. [Extended Historic
Preservation District, Ward 9]
(B) Case No. C/A 2015-16(EC). 1017 North Third Street. Peggy Whetzel. The
applicant is requesting after-the-fact approval to replace the stairway.

(C) Case No. C/A 2015-18(EC). 1073 Madison Street. Anthony Aiello. The
applicant is requesting approval to replace the wood privacy fence in the rear yard
with a vinyl combination picket and privacy fence. [Extended Historic

(D) Case No. C/A 2015-19(EC). 439 Houston Street. Piper Hutson. The applicant is
requesting approval to erect a vinyl privacy fence in the rear yard. [Extended

requesting approval of a wall sign for the Fraser Leonard Fine Art Gallery. [South

5. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.
Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.

Case No. C/A 2015-07(SP). 716 Washington Street. Stephen W. and Christine
M. Douglas. The applicants are requesting approval to construct an addition on
the rear elevation of the house. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1]
(B) Case No. C/A 2015-17(EC). 1301 North Second Street. Mark Besselman. The
applicant is requesting approval to create a doorway on the rear elevation of the
rear wing and to cover the window above with two-panel wooden shutters.

(C) Case No. C/A 2015-10(SP). 320 Morgan Street. Omer & Jacquie Clark. The
applicants are requesting approval to build a detached garage at the rear of the lot.

(D) Case No. C/A 2015-17(SP). 1111 South Main Street. Sheri Steffens. The
applicant is requesting approval of a design for a new banquet center. [Landmark
Preservation District, Ward 2]
(E) Case No. C/A 2015-20(EC). 1000 Riverside Drive. Doug Wood, City of St.
Charles. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the wood shingled roof on
the Boathouse Pavilion with an asphalt roof. [Extended Historic Preservation
District, Ward 2]

The submittal deadline for the June 15th meeting is May 26th, 2015
