The applicant is requesting approval to replace the windows with wood clad windows with simulated divided lights to match the existing. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the wood privacy fence in the rear yard with a vinyl combination picket and privacy fence. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. i. The applicants are requesting approval to construct an addition on the rear elevation of the house. The applicant is requesting approval to create a doorway on the rear elevation of the rear wing and to cover the window above with two-panel wooden shutters. Doug Wood, City of St. Charles. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the wood shingled roof on the Boathouse Pavilion with an asphalt roof.
