On Monday, September 19, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will
hold its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall,
200 North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be
present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application.
Failure to provide answers to the Board’s questions may result in your application being tabled or
denied.
1. Call to order and call the roll.
2. Consent Agenda
(A) Case No. C/A 2016-63(EC). 320 Tompkins Street. Ken West. The applicant is
requesting approval to install a 5- or 6-foot tall cedar privacy fence in the rear
yard. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 2]
(B) Case No. C/A 2016-64(EC). 230 S. Main Street. Greater St. Charles Convention
and Visitors Bureau. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the trash
enclosure. [South Main Preservation District, Ward 2]
(C) Case No. C/A 2016-65(EC). 1821 North Fourth Street. Jeff Johler. The applicant
is requesting approval to install a 4-foot tall white vinyl picket fence in the rear
yard. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1]
(D) Case No. C/A 2016-19(SP). 633 Monroe Street. Greg Woodson. The applicant is
requesting approval to build a new two-car garage, finish the porch addition on the
east elevation and enclose the rear porch. [Extended Historic Preservation District,

(E) Case No. C/A 2016-66(EC). 714 McDonough Street. Keith Uhrig. The applicant
is requesting approval to replace a chain link fence in the rear yard with a 5-foot
tall, khaki-colored, vinyl semi-privacy fence. [Extended Historic Preservation
District, Ward 2]
(F) Permit No. 16-4981. 100 South Main Street. John Heinsz. The applicant is
requesting approval of window signage for HSGW Insurance. [Historic
Downtown District, Ward 1]

4. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.
Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.
(A) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Case No. C/A 2016-50(EC). 825 Clark Street. Randal Green. The applicant has
submitted additional information regarding the proposed paint removal product,
the windows and garage door. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1]
