The applicant is requesting approval to install one hanging sign for the business, “Main Street General Store”. [Historic Downtown District, Ward 1] 5. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. (A) Case No. C/A 2019-042(EC). 524 South Main Street. Ezzeldeen Hamdan. The applicant is requesting approval to install string lights in the side patio of his business, Levantine Nights. The applicant is requesting after the fact approval to retain a new front door, transom, sidelights and framing.
