On Monday, May 13th, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will hold
its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200
North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:

requesting approval to construct a rear porch roof and general porch repair. [Historic

is requesting approval to install a 4’ black metal fence in the rear and side yard.

5. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.
Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.
(A) Case No. C/A 2019-042(EC). 524 South Main Street. Ezzeldeen Hamdan. The
applicant is requesting approval to install string lights in the side patio of his
business, Levantine Nights. [South Main Historic District, Ward 2]
(B) Case No. C/A 2019-043(EC). 528 North Benton Avenue. Malinda & Scott Meier.
The applicant is requesting after the fact approval to retain a new front door,
transom, sidelights and framing. [Commons Preservation District, Ward 1]
(C) Case No. C/A 2019-044(EC). 132 North Main Street. Tony Bethmann. The
applicant is requesting approval to replace fourteen wooden posts with metal posts
on a second-floor front gallery porch. [Historic Downtown District, Ward 1]
