ROLL CALL Present: Chris Black, Gene Carroll, Peter Colombatto, Jill Ryan, Bob Benn, Mayor Dan Borgmeyer, Beth Norviel Absent: Jose Jones 2. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. INTRODUCTIONS OF MEMBERS Members were introduced and brief background given. Mayor shared the vision of the task force. He hopes the task force will help the City create and execute dynamic events. He stressed that we need idea people. The Mayor also shared the vision of the boroughs of the City and how that will shape how we market and do events. 4. SELECTION OF ROLES A. CUSTODIAN OF RECORD – Beth Norviel B. RECORDING SECRETARY - Beth Norviel 5. GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS OF TASK FORCE See notes above under #3 6. 2022 EVENTS CALENDAR Beth Norviel shared that her team is working on an online events calendar that will be shared the task force. A paper calendar of 2022 events was handed out for review and discussion. 5. EVENT IDEAS AND RESOURCES Group discussed smaller concert venues in the area. Mention of North Main potential. Discussed Lindenwood’s various venues. Discussed Hot Summer Nights that used to occur and the differences between that and Music on Main. Discussed how a Blue Grass music event might be a good addition. 6. NEXT MEETING – MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14 AT 4:00 P.M.
