MINUTES of the JOINT MEETING of the TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE and TOWN BOARD October 28, 2025 CALL TO ORDER by Chair John Ringhofer at 6:30 pm STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE read by Chair Ringhofer ROLL CALL: Chair John Ringhofer, Anton Rang, Mary Tyson, Teri Kelly. Not present: Peter Gallick, Justin Kruse PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE recited ADOPTION OF AGENDA: MOTION to adopt the agenda as presented (Rang/Tyson). Motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION to approve the Minutes of the September 23, 2025 Technology Committee Meeting (Tyson/Rang). Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None Tim Whiteside, SunnyLink, was present at 6:39 pm 1. Ongoing Items  Computer Lifecycle Management: All computers are on Windows Server 2016, which is upgradable. Will need to budget in October/November 2026 for approximately $2,000 for Server upgrading. Discussed the current server situation. We have 10 licenses that need to be upgraded when the Exchange Server is shut down. The cost will be from $8.00 to $13.50 per month. We will need to upgrade the Town Hall laptop at the end of next year.  Windows 11: Discussed Windows 11 upgrades to Town/Fire Dept computers and laptops. One desktop (used as a guest computer) in the Fire Dept has not been upgraded.  Security Cameras for Town Hall Complex: Discussed the security cameras at the Fire Hall. We have space for 32 cameras total on an 18 TB drive, which means we have space for the Fire Hall cameras to be added.  Synology: Discussed Microsoft’s move to Teams for the Share Drive. We will be continuing to setup Synology and will be trained next month.  Review IT Budget: Reviewed the current IT Budget. Clerk will put the 2026 IT Budget on the Synology for review.
