City Council Regular Meeting

STAR COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES January 11, 1999  The Star City Council met in Special session on January 11, 1999. Mayor Watson presiding. Roll call: Kirtley, O'Connor, Amsden, Embury, Ross. Absent Winkle. Moved by Amsden and seconded by Ross to go into executive session to discuss personnel. All aye: motion carried. Council adjourned to executive session at 6:05 p.m. Moved by Amsden and seconded by Kirtley to return to the regular session. All aye: motion carried. Moved by Amsden and seconded by Ross to appoint Trish Raynor and Kathy Hutten to serve as interim City Clerk/Treasurer and Deputy City Clerk, with Kathy Hutten attending the Council meetings to record minutes. Compensation for the Interim City Clerk/ Treasurer will be $232.75 per week, Deputy City Clerk’s compensation at $117.75 plus $9.18 per hour for regular and special meetings of Council. Adell Heneghan is appointed as the Interim Zoning Administrator. All aye: motion carried. Moved by Ross and seconded by O’Connor to add to the agenda the item City Clerk /Treasurer, Barbara Montgomery, compensation while on leave of absence. All aye: motion carried. Moved by Embury and seconded by O’Connor to agree to compensate Barbara Montgomery, City Clerk/Treasurer for 18 days leave pay at the same rate of salary. All aye: motion carried. Moved by Embury and seconded by Ross to authorize interim City clerk/Treasurer to issue payment for the warrant in the amount of $75,000. plus interest in time to meet the deadline. All aye: motion carried. Moved by Ross and seconded by Kirtley to adjourn the meeting. All aye: motion carried.
