City Council Special Meeting

CITY OF STAR SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES August 7, 2002 A special meeting of the Star City Council was held on August 7, 2002 at 6:30 pm at the Star Fire Station; Mayor Gail Glasgow presiding. Mayor Glasgow announced that the Ada County Inmates will be here Saturday, August 24th to clean-up City Hall property. Volunteers are needed to help and be crew leaders. Roll Call: Mitchell, Stegenga, Bell were present; Spence was absent. Canvass of Votes: Mitchell moved, seconded by Stegenga to approve the prepared election tabulation provided by the Election Judge and Clerks and finalized results. Results being: Councilman Stegenga For Recall 165 Against Recall 245 Mayor Glasgow For Recall 172 Against Recall 235 Councilman Stegenga noted that 411 residents voted at this Special Election. This was an excellent turnout, Councilman Mitchell concurred. All aye: motion carries. Special Recall election is defeated. Adjournment: It was moved by Mitchell and seconded by Stegenga to adjourn the meeting. All aye: motion carries. The meeting was adjourned at 6:37 pm.
