CITY OF STAR SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES January 27, 2003 A special meeting of the Star City Council was called to order at 6:05 pm on January 27, 2003 at the Star Senior Center. Mayor Gail Glasgow presiding. Roll Call: Bell, Stegenga, Mitchell – present, Spence – absent. Approval of Agenda: Mitchell moved to approve the agenda, Stegenga seconded the motion. A discussion followed as to the need of an executive session. Mitchell removed his motion. Mitchell moved to approve the agenda and eliminate item #3 Executive Session, Stegenga seconded the motion. All aye – motion passed. Engineering Decision: Stegenga moved to have the Mayor work out a contract with Keller Associates for engineering services to the City of Star and to bring back a contract for Council approval. Mitchell seconded the motion. Bell asked that it be clarified whether engineers will be at every council meeting or as requested and whether they will be charging to attend council meetings. Stegenga stated these items would be worked out in contract negotiations. Mayor called for a vote. All aye – motion passed. Adjournment: Mitchell moved to adjourn the meeting, Bell seconded the motion. All Aye – motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 pm.
