Chairman Pitrone called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm
PRESENT: John Pitrone, Chairman, Kenneth Cooper, Vice-Chairman,

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion by Commissioner Cooper, supported by Commissioner Ervin to approve agenda as
presented.

ACCEPTANCE OF THOSE NOTIFIED BY MAIL
Ms. Gerstenberg indicated that she is in receipt of a list of people notified by mail of tonight’s
meeting.
CORRESPONDENCES
Ms. Gerstenberg indicated that she had correspondences for tonight. They are as follows: G13-
0055, G13-0057, and G13-0058; the nuisances have been abated and there is no further cause for
action.
CONSIDERATIONS
G13-0052 Johnson, Eric & Lisa/Hemingway, D.
33615 Red Run Road. Hearing on nuisance abatement at this location for illegal storage and
debris – old mattresses, blankets, cardboard box, TVs, filled trailers, wood/logs, tarps, chairs,
and other miscellaneous items.
Code Enforcement Officer, Patrick Willis, stated a couple of violations notices were sent. As of
today, most of the debris was gone. Pictures were shown at this time.
Ms. Johnson indicated everything is gone except for the wood and one trailer full of
mattresses. Mr. Cooper asked if she could get everything done in the next couple of days. She
indicated the mattresses will be gone but she didn’t know what to do with the wood. Mr. Cooper
told her to contact the Code Enforcement Officer on how to store firewood properly.
Moved by Cooper, supported by Hartson, to declare that a public nuisance exists on the property
commonly known as 33615 Red Run Road and to direct the Code Official to abate the violations
identified in the attached staff report which give rise to this finding after March 29, 2013. The
Board also authorizes and approves the imposition of a lien against the property, in the amount
of the cost of abatement incurred by the City, as permitted by the applicable city ordinance.

G13-0053 Felice, John
36215 Jared Drive. Hearing on nuisance abatement at this location for overgrown bushes along
fence line, loose/missing siding, dilapidated trellis structure by shed, peeling shed, debris and
outdoor storage – wood and concrete.
Code Enforcement Officer, Patrick Willis, stated a couple of violations notices were sent. As of
today, only things remaining are the missing siding and overgrown bushes. Pictures were shown
at this time.
Mr. Felice stated he took care of everything except for the missing siding but he trimmed the
bushes away from the sidewalk. Mr. Willis informed him that they need to be trimmed in an
attractive manner. Mr. Felice said he can take care of that. He also let the board know that
someone was coming out this week for the siding. Mr. Cooper asked if he could have everything
complete in two weeks. Mr. Felice said he should be able to.
Moved by Hartson, supported by Cooper, to declare that a public nuisance exists on the property
commonly known as 36215 Jared Drive and to direct the Code Official to abate the violations
identified in the attached staff report which give rise to this finding after April 8, 2013. The
Board also authorizes and approves the imposition of a lien against the property, in the amount
of the cost of abatement incurred by the City, as permitted by the applicable city ordinance.

G13-0054 Bank of America, N.A.
14554 Hope Drive. Hearing on nuisance abatement at this location for missing gutters and
downspouts, junk vehicle in driveway, improperly stored garbage cans, debris and outdoor
storage – ladder, wheelbarrow, pool ladder, downspout extension and other miscellaneous items.
Code Enforcement Officer, Patrick Willis, stated a couple of violations notices were sent. As of
today, there was no change. Pictures were shown at this time.
Moved by Ervin, supported by Cooper, to declare that a public nuisance exists on the property
commonly known as 14554 Hope Drive and to direct the Code Official to abate the violations
identified in the attached staff report which give rise to this finding immediately. The Board also
authorizes and approves the imposition of a lien against the property, in the amount of the cost of
abatement incurred by the City, as permitted by the applicable city ordinance.

G13-0055 Speedway, LLC
13555 Fourteen Mile Road. Hearing on nuisance abatement at this location for unsecured
dumpster enclosure gates, illegally stored plastic containers by front door, damaged gas pump,
debris – 55 gallon drums and garbage bags.
Memo received from Code Enforcement Officer, Alan Gross, stating that the nuisance has been
abated and there is no further cause for action.
G13-0056 Ishaq, Milad & Taqaj, Palina
36855 Kyro Court. Hearing on nuisance abatement at this location for tree in need of trimming
away from house, tire rut in need of restoration, landscaping border in need of repair, debris –
large branch, brick, satellite, plywood and other miscellaneous items.
Code Enforcement Officer, Patrick Willis, stated a couple of violations notices were sent. As of
today, everything was complete except for removal of the brick-filled garbage bags. Pictures
were shown at this time.
Mr. Ishaq stated that garbage pickup is tomorrow and all of the garbage bags should be
gone. Mr. Pitrone questioned whether Waste Management would pick up garbage bags full of
bricks. Mr. Ishaq indicated he spoke with DPW who said they would. Mr. Cooper asked if they
gave him a couple of days would he be able to resolve everything. Mr. Ishaq indicated yes. Mr.
Pitrone pointed out that if Waste Management does not pick up his garbage, he is still in
violation and must remove the garbage bags another way.
Moved by Cooper, supported by Ervin, to declare that a public nuisance exists on the property
commonly known as 36855 Kyro Court and to direct the Code Official to abate the violations
identified in the attached staff report which give rise to this finding after March 29, 2013. The
Board also authorizes and approves the imposition of a lien against the property, in the amount
of the cost of abatement incurred by the City, as permitted by the applicable city ordinance.

G13-0057 Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp
2511 Camel Drive. Hearing on nuisance abatement at this location for detached mailbox, loose
trash & debris – wood, pallets, cardboard, tarp and other miscellaneous items.
Memo received from Code Enforcement Officer, Robert Sergott, stating that the nuisance has
been abated and there is no further cause for action.
G13-0058 U.S. Bank National Association
34409 Hawke Drive. Hearing on nuisance abatement at this location for boarded window in need
of paint, pile of dirt in need of removal, missing downspout extension, debris – loose trash and
branches.
Memo received from Code Enforcement Officer, Robert Sergott, stating that the nuisance has
been abated and there is no further cause for action.

agenda.
