CITY OF STERLING HEIGHTS CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION, ACT 78 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 4, 2014 The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission, Act 78, was held in Room 202, City Hall, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan. 1. The meeting was called to order at 3:35 p.m. by Chairwoman Terri Jarema. 2. Roll Call Present: Chairwoman Terri Jarema, Commissioner Jerry Griesbeck Excused: Commissioner Irv Droste Also present: Walter Blessed, Human Resources Director and Donald DeNault, City Attorney 3. Approval of Agenda Moved by Griesbeck, supported by Jarema, to approve the agenda as presented. Yes: All. The motion carried. 4. Approval of minutes of regular meeting of December 9, 2013. Moved by Griesbeck, supported by Jarema, to approve the minutes of the December 9, 2014 with corrections to the spelling of Commissioner Griesbeck’s name. Yes: All. The motion carried. Establish requirements and testing process for a new Police Lieutenant eligibility list. Moved by Griesbeck, supported by Jarema, to approve requirements and testing process for a new Police Lieutenant eligibility list. Yes: All. The motion carried. Establish requirements and testing process for a new Police Captain eligibility list. Moved by Griesbeck, supported by Jarema, to approve requirements and testing process for a new Police Captain eligibility list.  Yes: All. The motion carried. 7.
