CITY OF STERLING HEIGHTS CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION, ACT 78 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 8, 2022 The regular meeting of the Civil Service Commission, Act 78, was held in Conference Room 106, City Hall, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan. 1. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order at 12:33 p.m. by Chair Terri Jarema. 2. Roll Call. Present: Chair Terri Jarema Commissioner Jerry Griesbeck (Scottsdale, AZ) Commissioner Kevin Conlan (Benton, FL) Also present: Melanie Ryska, Clerk; Jason Bisdorf, Police Sergeant; Don DeNault, Assistant City Attorney; Kate Baldwin, Human Resources Manager; Sarah Scowden, Human Resources Coordinator 3. Approval of Agenda. Moved by Conlan, supported by Griesbeck, to approve the agenda as presented. Yes: All No: None The motion carried. 4. Review and approve Police Lieutenant eligibility and minimum requirements Moved by Griesbeck, supported by Conlan, to approve the Police Lieutenant eligibility and minimum requirements. Yes: All No: None The motion carried. 5. Communications from Citizens There were no communications from citizens. 6. New Business.  Civil Service Commission, Act 78 Meeting of February 8, 2022 Page 2 HR Manager Baldwin noted that they are currently interviewing for the Firefighter eligibility list, which will need to be approved in the next couple weeks. 7.
