MINUTES STERLING HEIGHTS HOUSING COMMISSION March 14, 2023 Call To Order by President Venetis at 6:04 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation. Roll Call. Present: Szatkowski, Venetis, Terry Late: Taylor, Walker Present: Executive Director Teresa Jarzab, Sabrina Bollinger Approval of Agenda . Moved by Szatkowski, support by Terry to approve agenda. Ayes: All. Approval of Minutes . Moved by Szatkowski, support by Terry to approve the January 10, 2023 minutes. Ayes: All. Executive Director Report. Jarzab reported on management and office staff Monthly Financial Reports. Moved by Szatkowski support by Terry to accept the Schoenherr Towers Operating Summaries Ayes: All. Moved by Terry support by Szatkowski to accept the Voucher Program Operating Summaries. Ayes: All. New Business 1. Monthly Management Reports . Moved by Szatkowski, support by Terry to accept the monthly management reports as presented by Fourmidable. Ayes: All. 2. Operating & Voucher Program Summaries (Register & Utility Payables ). Moved by Venetis support by Szatkowski, to approve the housing assistance program register and utility payables as presented by Fourmidable. Ayes: All. Agenda 1. Moved by Venetis , support by Szatkowski , to re-appoint City of Sterling Heights HUD Program Coordinator Teresa Jarzab as Sterling Heights Housing Commission Executive Director, under resolution 2023-01-01. Ayes: ALL 1 Agenda 1. Moved by Terry and seconded by Szatkowski to extend the contract to Global Building Services, whose address is 26403 W. Grand River Ave, Redford, MI 48240, in the amount of $23,000, under resolution 2023-03-01. 2. Moved by Szatkowski and seconded by Terry to authorize Fourmidable to write off the uncollectible amount as noted above and send to collections as appropriate under Resolution 2023-03-02. Public Participation. Section of fence missing along back of property. That is by design for the utility companies to have access. Szatkowski asked if Jennifer Rizzo is helping. Staff indicated that events are well attended and she is doing a great job. Thank you to Carol for decorating the community room. Adjourn.
