3.2 13-0772 CERTIFICATION OF THE NAME OF THE CANDIDATE RANKED
NUMBER ONE ON THE POLICE SERGEANT ELIGIBILITY LIST TO
THE POSITION OF POLICE SERGEANT, PROBATIONARY STATUS,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE VII, SECTION 5(C) OF THE CIVIL
SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR POLICE AND FIRE
EMPLOYEES - EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 12, 2013
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution certifying the number one candidate on the Police
Sergeant Eligibility List from the current position of Police Officer to the
promotional position of Police Sergeant, probationary status. The
candidate ranked first on the eligibility list shall be certified as Police
Sergeant effective October 12, 2013.

“Request to Speak Card” and submit it to the Recording Secretary prior to the meeting.
No speaker cards will be received after the close of the Citizen's Comments portion of
the meeting. Each speaker is limited to five minutes. Speakers must be prepared to
speak when called.
* NOTE: All proceedings before the City of Stockton Civil Service Commission are
conducted in English. The City of Stockton does not furnish interpreters and, if one is
needed, it shall be the responsibility of the person(s) needing one. In compliance with
the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in the
meetings of the Civil Service Commission, please contact the Office of the City Clerk at
(209) 937-8459 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting to enable the Commission to
make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility.
CONSENT ITEMS: Information concerning the consent items have been forwarded to
the Civil Service Commission prior to the meeting. Unless a Civil Service
Commissioner or member of the audience has questions concerning a particular item
and asks that it be removed from the Consent Calendar, the items are approved at one
time by a roll call vote.
