AND EXAMINATION) OF THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEES
SPECIFICALLY CONCERNING THE CITY OF STOCKTON
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (COSIP)
Recommended Action: RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a motion to schedule a public hearing at the March 19, 2020 Civil
Service Commission meeting to amend Rule VI, Section 2b, 5b,
(Application and Examination) of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations
for Miscellaneous Employees. The resolution requests changes to the
minimum cumulative GPA requirement; provides more time for students to
remain eligible to apply for full time opportunities after completion of
graduation requirements; and reduces the required amount of time of
continuous service interns must complete prior to applying for full time
employment with the City of Stockton.

Hearing is opened. If a large number of people desire to speak at a Public Hearing, the Chair may reduce the
