I. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pro Tem George Turner
II. ROLL CALL: Megan Reid, City Clerk
Council Member Jazzmin Cobble was absent, and Mayor Lary was absent and it was
excused at a prior meeting.
Motion 1 – was made by Council Member Jimmy Clanton to excuse Council
Member Jazzmin Cobble for her absence due to a death in her family and was
seconded by Council Member Rob Turner.
Motion passed 4-0.
III. INVOCATION- Council Member Rob Turner led the invocation.
IV. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Pro Tem George Turner asked to add a few items for discussion only under Old
Business. The following items are:
• Dispositions of all committees
• Budget Retreat 2021
• Resolution for ending Virtual Meetings
And he also would like to add under Presentations – Program Purpose- Dr. Christopher
Griffith and Council Member Tammy Grimes
Motion 2- was made by Council Member Rob Turner to add the above said items to the agenda
and was seconded by Council member Tammy Grimes.
Motion passed 4-0.
V. MINUTES:
a. Approval of Council Meeting Minutes October 26, 2020
Motion 3 – made by Council Member Rob Turner to approve the October 26, 2020
Council Meeting Minutes. Seconded by Council Member jimmy.
Motion passed unanimously.
b. Approval of Council Meeting Minutes November 2, 2020
Motion 4- was made by Council Member Rob Turner to defer the decision until the
next meeting and was seconded by Council Member Tammy Grimes.
Motion passed 4-0.
c. Approval of Council Meeting Minutes November 23, 2020
Motion 5- was made by Council Member Rob Turner to defer the decision until the
next meeting and was seconded by Council Member Tammy Grimes.
VI. PRESENTATIONS:
a. Program Purpose- Presented by Council Member Tammy Grimes and Dr.
Christopher Griffith of Kaiser Permanente in corporation with Arabia Mountain
High School

VIII. PUBLIC COMMENTS

a. Disposition of all committees
b. Budget Retreat
Council discussed setting a date for the Budget Retreat in January 2021.
c. Approve Stonecrest 2020 Paving Project- Phase 2
Motion 10- was made by Council Member Jazzmin Cobble to deny the Stonecrest 2020
Paving Project- Phase 2 and was seconded by Council Member Tammy Grimes.
Motion passed 4-1 with Council Member Jimmy Clanton voting nay and Mayor Lary
was absent.
d. Decision for December 28, 2020 Council Meeting
Council will make a decision by December 23, 2020 via email to City Clerk whether to
cancel the meeting or not.

XV. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS
Council Member Jimmy Clanton/District 1 – Get out and vote, Merry Christmas and
stay safe from Covid!
Council Member Rob Turner/District 2 –Vote like your life depends on it! Enjoy
your holiday!
Council Member Jazzmin Cobble/District 3 – Absent- The rest of the Council
wished her a happy birthday and sent their condolences to her and her family due to the
loss of a family member.
Council Member Tammy Grimes/District 5 – Stay safe and pray for the teachers!
Happy Holidays and if anyone would like to donate to Traditions Nursing Home please
contact her. They are looking for sweatshirts and sweatpants and things of that nature.
Council Member George Turner/District 4 – Apologized to the citizens for the
agenda changes. Wished everyone a Merry Christmas and hopes everyone will be safe
and careful over the holidays.
XVI. ADJOURNMENT
Motion 6 – made by Council Member Rob Turner to adjourn the City Council Meeting.
Seconded by Council Member Tammy Grimes.
Motion passed unanimously.
