Story City, Iowa September 3, 2019 Mayor Jensen called the special council work session meeting to order on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Present: Mayor Jensen, Administrator Jackson, Council Members Ostrem, Phillips, Solberg, Crutchfield, and Sporleder Absent: None Motion by Phillips, seconded by Solberg, to approve the agenda Aye: Ostrem, Phillips, Solberg, Crutchfield, and Sporleder Nay: None Motion Carried. Discussion on Woodland Farms Housing Subdivision General discussion about what services the city will provide to the subdivision for road improvements and utility extensions and the price involved. Administrator Jackson will provide the mayor and council with a draft development agreement for review at a future meeting. Fiscal Year 2018-19 Financial Highlights City Administrator Jackson presented information about the finances of the city and the increases or decreases for fiscal year 2018-19. Wastewater Treatment Plant- EQ Basin City Administrator Jackson presented information on the status of the EQ basin and the company that installed it. There are several patches on the liner. there was general discussion regarding the warranty provided by the company and the terms of the warranty. The subject of the new wastewater treatment plant and the time frame for this was discussed, along with ways in which it will be paid for. Goal Setting City Administrator Jackson presented information about the need to set goals for the purpose of city and financial planning.
