STROUDSBURG BOROUGH COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2020
A special meeting of the Stroudsburg Borough Council convened at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday,
December 22, 2020 via Zoom.us with the following members present: Council President
Anthony Lanfrank, Vice-President of Council Matt Abell, Council Member Jim Evanisko, and
Council Member Boyd Weiss. Also present were: Mayor Tarah Probst, Borough Manager Brian
Ace, Jr., and Executive Assistant Mary Pat Quinn. Council members Erica McCabe, James
Smith, and Victoria DeVries were absent.
Mr. Lanfrank advised that adequate notice of the special meeting was provided by publishing
notice in the legal section of The Pocono Record in the issue of December 10, 2020. The Zoom
meeting ID and password were made available to the public on the Stroudsburg Borough
Facebook page.
Public Hearing and Consideration to Adopt An Ordinance of the Borough of Stroudsburg, in the
County of Monroe, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Fixing the Real Estate Tax Rate for the
Year 2021
Mr. Lanfrank advised that adequate notice of the aforementioned Ordinance was provided by
publishing notice in The Pocono Record in the issue of November 19, 2020 and by posting the
notice and the 2021 Budget on the Stroudsburg Borough website www.stroudsburgboro.com.
The hearing was opened to the public. There were two members of the public in attendance;
however, there were no questions or comments about the proposed Tax Ordinance. The public
hearing was closed on a motion made by Mr. Weiss, seconded by Mr. Abell. The motion was
carried. (4-yes; 0-no; 0-abstain)
An Ordinance of the Borough of Stroudsburg, in the County of Monroe, Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania, Fixing the Real Estate Tax Rate for the Year 2021 was adopted on a motion made
by Mr. Weiss, seconded by Mr. Abell. The motion was carried. (4-yes; 0-no; 0-abstain) The
2021 tax rate will be 7.5715 mils.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 P.M. on a motion made by Mr. Weiss, seconded by Mr.
Abell. The motion was carried. (4-yes; 0-no; 0-abstain)
