10. Public Hearing - A public hearing regarding an ordinance to authorize the
conveyance of real estate owned by the City of Suffolk, Virginia, to Davis
Boulevard, LLC. The property was previously utilized for the former Nansemond
County Wastewater Treatment Plant
A motion to continue the public hearing to the October 15, 2008,
City Council meeting was approved 7-0.
11. Public Hearing - A public hearing regarding the transfer of public property
located at 310 East Washington Street in the City of Suffolk
A motion to direct the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance for
consideration at the October 1, 2008, City Council meeting
regarding the transfer of public property located at 310 East
Washington Street was approved 7-0.
12. Public Hearing - An ordinance restricting through truck traffic on a certain
section of Pittmantown Road
Approved 7-0
13. Ordinances - Subdivision Variance Request V5-07, submitted by Justin W.
Nelson, property owner, requesting a variance from Section 31-514(a)(2) of the
Unified Development Ordinance which requires that a family transfer parcel to be
held by the immediate family member who received it for a minimum of 10 years
unless subject to an involuntary transfer. THIS APPLICATION HAS BEEN
WITHDRAWN BY THE APPLICANT (This item was continued from the July
16, 2008, City Council meeting.)

14. Resolution - A resolution approving the proposed issuance of certain revenue
bonds by the Southeastern Public Service Authority of Virginia, a portion of the
proceeds of the bonds to be used to finance or refinance facilities located in the
City

through the Virginia Department of Transportation Revenue Sharing Program for

and provisions for the payment thereof
