Consent Agenda - A resolution authorizing the City Manager to amend the East Suffolk Recreation Center Architectural/Engineering Agreement Approved 7-0 8. Consent Agenda - A resolution to accept and appropriate a state grant award from the Virginia Department of Aviation for security enhancements at the Suffolk Executive Airport Approved 7-0 9. Public Hearing - A public hearing to consider the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the issuance and sale of general obligation public improvement bonds, series 2008, in the maximum amount of $18,000,000 by the City of Suffolk, Virginia, and establishing the terms, details and provisions for the payment thereof Approved 7-0 16. Public Hearing - Ordinance Text Amendment OA5-08, additions and amendments to permit the installation of alternative energy structures (wind turbines) in specific zoning districts, to amend Article 4 Zoning, Section 31-406, Table 31-406-1, Table of Permitted Uses and Article 7, Supplemental Use Regulations, to add a new Section 31-722, Wind Energy, and to amend Appendix A, Definitions, and Appendix B, Submission Requirements of the Unified Development Ordinance A motion to continue consideration of the ordinance to the November 5, 2008, City Council meeting. Approved 7-0 17. Public Hearing - Subdivision Variance Request V1-08, submitted by David S. Rudiger of Boyd Corporation, on behalf of Nansemond Investment Co., LLC, property owner, requesting a two-year waiver of the requirement for secondary subdivision access to the proposed Patriots Walke Subdivision A motion to continue consideration of the above referenced item to the November 19, 2008, City Council meeting. Approved 7-0 2 18. Public Hearing - An ordinance to authorize the conveyance of real estate owned by the City of Suffolk, Virginia, to Davis Boulevard, LLC. (This item was continued from the September 17, 2008, City Council Meeting.) A motion to continue the public hearing to the November 19, 2008, City Council meeting with any additional advertising costs being born by Davis Boulevard, LCC. Approved 7-0 19. Ordinances An ordinance establishing an identity theft prevention program (This item was added under the Removal of Items from the Consent Agenda and Adoption of the Agenda portion of the agenda.)
